- YEAH! The General Assembly in Raleigh has NOT cut the state funding for public libraries for the second year in a row. They evidently realize the important role that we play in the economic recovery process. In addition to this good news the County Commissions have NOT cut the library system’s budget for this new fiscal year. We are so thankful for all the support the library has received in these difficult times.
